“Freedom Hymn” by Austin French

“I breathe the air of freedom in knowing my life is better off in Your hands. The past is gone, what’s done is done, now I’m alive and I’m never gonna look back. I can never be free without You. I can never be me without You. This is the sound of chains breaking. This is the beat of a heart changing. This is the song of a soul forgiven. This is my freedom hymn…who the Son sets free is free indeed.”

What is your personal “freedom hymn?” Are you still feeling bound up in chains in some area of your life? Do you need to lay it down before the Lord and ask him to set you free? In this song Austin French sings about the true freedom that comes when we surrender to Jesus and let him control our life. At that moment the chains break, the heart begins to change, and we receive complete forgiveness. The past is forgotten, and we don’t have to look back. We can look forward and be free indeed. This is why God sent his son, so that all who believe in him will have eternal life. He did not send Jesus to condemn us; but to save us and give us true freedom. (see John 3:16, 17) It is the beginning of a transformed life! If you are ready to break chains and start your transformation, stop and pray now. Use the prayer in the back of your devotional booklet to get you started.

John 8:36“If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

Questions:Are you “in chains” in some area of your life? What steps will you take so that you can experience true freedom and transformation in this area?

Prayer Power:Dear Lord, I know you can break my chains and set me free. It is only in you and through you that I can find true freedom. Thank you for your grace and forgiveness. I surrender my life to you and trust you for personal transformation and freedom. Amen.
