“Don’t worry. Just lay it down; it’s not your fight. Don’t worry, it’ll be alright. Don’t worry; he will make your heavy light. Don’t worry at all. His love is always right on time.”
Are you a “worrier?” Most of us, at one time or another, have found ourselves worrying about things that we can’t control. It is at those moments we need to remember four things:
Whatever is happening in your life is on his mind and his heart, too. He is the one who can do something about the situation. He is at work!
It is not your job to worry, fear and be stressed out. Pray and ask God to transform you from these emotions into the peace and trust and faith that you long for.
We want the quick-fix. We want things to be made right—now! We are not good at waiting. But God lovingly shows us time and again that he is trustworthy and able. He knows the best timing for all things.
Fill your days and your nights with affirmations and belief.
Read the Psalms—you will be able to relate to all the emotions there. Sing along with your favorite Christian songs or hymns. Lift your heart to God. When you do this, you will be amazed how quickly the time passes. And remember—God is always right on time!
Psalm 103: 1-5 “Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits –who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that you’re your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
Psalm 102: 1-2 “Hear my prayer, Lord, let my cry for help come to you. Do not hide your face from me when I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly.” (then be ready to wait on the Lord!)
Questions: What are you waiting for right now? Will you fill your life with prayer and praise as you wait for God’s perfect timing? Do you have a story of God being “right on time” in answering a prayer? Remember that and be encouraged!
Prayer Power: Dear Lord, help me to pray and to praise you as I am waiting for answers. Transform me into the person you want me to be. Help me to trust you for your perfect timing for all things in my life. Amen.
