heart month week 1 Devotional

“Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” Galatians 5:25

Protect your heart by taking the first step, then the next. Physically speaking, we know that we are protecting our heart when we intentionally set a goal of how many steps (hops, jumps, leaps, slides, skates, stomps and salsas) we want to take in a day. The more we keep moving and stop sitting, we are protecting our heart. But Galatians 5:25 gives intention to our steps. When we keep in step with the Spirit, we are protecting our heart spiritually. By seeking the Spirit’s encouragement to stay focused and intentional, we resist the enemy’s deception and fight back against discouragement. Our Spirit-steps matter. They power up our physical steps. During heart month as you grow in faith and fitness in Body & Soul® remember this - both your physical and spiritual steps make a difference in strengthening your heart!

 



Body & Soul® Fitness is an international Christian fitness organization that trains and equips instructors to lead a variety of group fitness programs including choreographed aerobics-style Cardio Strength & Flexibility™, cardio dance style Dance Blast™, free-weights-focused Power Strength™, boot camp style FIT360™ and Longevity FIT360™, and GOLD™ - lower impact programming for participants that are pregnant, have weight challenges, injuries, or other medical conditions. These exercise classes meet in church gyms, community centers, gymnasiums, parking lots, schools, etc. across the United States, Europe, and Africa. In-person and virtual fitness classes are available.
