heart month week 2 Devotional

“Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flows the springs of life.” Proverbs 4:23

We are told to watch over our heart in Scripture. It’s a command for us to watch out, be smart, do what it takes, read and learn, etc. in order to know how to bring health to our body, heart and soul. This verse says that the springs of life flow from our heart so that’s why we should watch over it with diligence. During heart month as you grow in faith and fitness in Body & Soul®, what do you need to do to strengthen your heart? Spiritually, it could look like this: set aside time for prayer and Bible reading, take time for Scripture memory by yourself or with a friend, find a prayer partner to share your life with or a mentor you could meet with. Physically watching over your heart could look like this: walk 7000 steps a day, stretch each day, increase the number of Body & Soul® classes you attend each week, start strength training two days per week or more. Make your plans and then do it. Your heart will thank you!
