He Makes All Things New

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come; the old has gone, the new is here!  I Corinthians 5:17, NIV

I love to exercise - both indoors and out, but sometimes I need to make a new commitment to put my fitness focus first. What about you? Are you ready to ramp up your exercise routine this spring? It’s a great time to renew your commitment to your personal fitness and maybe even try some new things.

He makes all things new-including seasons and outdoor exercises! Warmer weather is a great time to mix up your outdoor exercise routines! Here are some ideas:

Not talking dill, sweet, or half-done, PICKLE BALL (PB) is FIRE! Like tennis with a wiffle ball, it’s a great cardio, core, and coordination workout. It’s positively addicting—worth the wait for a court! Do some jumping jacks, quick feet, high-knees, and cardio kickboxing until it’s your time for court play. Don’t forget to stretch beforehand to prevent any achilles injuries from pivoting and going after those balls!

SCAVENGER HUNT HIKE will satisfy the explorer in you:

Make a list of objects to search for (jogging or fast-paced walking as you go).

Celebrate your find with 20 reps or 1-2 minutes of an exercise.

BONUS: Buy a National Parks Annual Pass and scavenge there!

DEEP-WATER INTERVAL AEROBICS for a low-impact, high-intensity workout that will ignite your traditional water exercise. Ride your flotation “noodle” like a horse to the deep end of the pool. It’s low impact because you are 100% sitting on your noodle. Try Deep Water Tabata Intervals:

20 sec paddle arms/legs fast clockwise with your friends in a circle.

At the 10 sec active recovery/rest, turn counter-clockwise, then paddle against the current you just made for the next 20 sec!

Remember, Tabata intervals are 20 sec working hard then 10 sec rest, repeating eight times. Everyone will be laughing as you swim like trout upstream!

Thank you, Lord, for making all things new, in Your name, Jesus-Ame
