Easter Redemption's Promise

easter - redemption's promise

“I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.”  Genesis 3:15 ESV

Easter is the fulfillment of a long unfolding plan for humanity. In the very beginning of time, sin entered the world through one man, and another Man’s sacrifice would have to be made to save us all. God made redemption available to all of us, but it comes at a high price for One. God the Father set in motion a plan of redemption we celebrate at Easter, and it was created for our good and His glory.

The first hint we get of God’s plan comes in the garden of Eden when He is addressing Adam, Eve and the serpent. God was not caught unawares by the events that had transpired. In His foreknowledge, He knew what would happen; however, in His great mercy He already knew what was required to restore humanity back to Himself.

Christ’s sacrifice on the cross was an unimaginable debt payment for all mankind. Sin was atoned for and on this EasterHosanna 2 day, we who believe celebrate that we truly can be at one with our Almighty God. That gift of redemption which cost so much is freely given to you and me. Today we celebrate death’s defeat and the welcoming of the believers into heaven. The promise has been fulfilled and the plan is complete. What a cause for celebration!

Redemption’s story roars throughout history and resounds throughout the generations. Today we celebrate Christ’s resurrection and remember again how merciful God is to us. He made a way for us, all sinners, to be with Him. What joy! But, you do have to believe. You have to believe that God’s plan of restoration came to its dramatic climax in the person of Jesus. Born in a manager, raised by mankind, baptized into a public ministry, loved and hated by the people of His time, pursued and persecuted, crucified, buried and risen on the third day. That’s the story of the promise given in the garden and fulfilled by Christ.

So what is your standing this Easter Day? Do you believe? If you do, fantastic! Take this time to give thanks to God for His redeeming work on the cross just for you. If you don’t, I urge you to consider your ed-inform.net. If you want to talk to someone, just reach out to one of us. We would love to tell you about what God has done for us in our lives and what He longs to do in yours.

If you find your heart moved in this moment to accept His work of salvation, you can pray this prayer today.

Dear God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the deal. I turn from my sins and invite you to come into my heart and my life. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!
