Jay was born to a military family in Southern California that migrated eastward. He grew up in Virginia Beach, where he met his wife Katrina of 30 years in high school. They moved to Williamsburg, Virginia in 1986. Jay studied Architecture in college but stayed true to his roots as a carpenter, which gave way to becoming a Class A General Contractor in 1997. Katrina and Jay have three grown children, and reside in Lanexa, Virginia where they enjoy homesteading, a slow pace of life, and family. Jay’s life verse is Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace you have been saved through faith.
