Steve previously served on various interdenominational local not for profit boards for over a decade and one international advisory board for several years. He has held various volunteer leadership positions including the position of treasurer and chairman of a private Classical Christian school, as well as an Administrative Elder and Chairman of a local church’s Elder Council. He is married to Amy and they have one daughter, Jordan, who is married to Christian, and one grandson, Gideon. Steve and Amy are avid long-distance motorcyclists who have been known to ride to places like South Dakota, Arizona, and Texas from the US east coast. Professionally, Steve is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute and is a Professional Engineer, a former business owner, formerly a licensed building contractor, and is currently employed by Bay County, Florida where he leads the Building Safety Division in the role of Building Official.
